Self-employed disabled people are waiting nearly two years for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) to even begin working on their Access to Work application if they are seen as a ânon-prioriâŚ

in your talk last night, you mentioned so many books and fantastic quotes, I felt the need to make a note of some of them (although missed many). Rather cryptically, I've written: Lilian Lang Poison nourishment and can find nothing to jog my memory of what those related to

đ¨New preprint and our results are rather concerning.. We find the "boiling frog" equivalent of AI use. Using large-scale RCTs, we provide *casual* evidence that AI assistance reduces persistence and hurts independent performance. And these effects emerge after just 10â15 minutes of AI use! 1/

The year is 2026. Researchers at The Museum of English Rural Life have pushed rural heritage to the brink. They asked: what would happen if we got some toy rats and dressed them in beautiful, handmade clothes inspired by heritage crafts?

I love this so much! Although Iâm very conscious that there will be many people who have no idea what the comparison to an RSS feed means⌠these days people seem to expect a feed to be algorithmic.

I know cookie banners are annoying and no one pays attention to them anymore. But you really should. Yes, as a user. But moreso as a publisher or developer. Please. These things are not neutral.

This video is a really good watch, but also has so many inspirational jumping off points - I've been thinking about hope and vision for the future, and (more prosaically) commercial (and in particularly tech) law and what we're actually *doing*. I need some thinking time...

Authors receive a payment every time you borrow a book, audiobook or ebook from libraries in 35 countries. Those countries include the UK, Canada, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Germany to name but a few. Borrowing a book helps the authorâs pocket as well as yours.

Yesterday a story about 1k possible job losses in the automotive sector was top of the morning news. 10k possible job losses in HE was buried in the sector trade paper's coverage of redundancies at Sussex. Gov't & media refuse to recognise a crisis in HE.

Once you get used to it, alt text is a lovely part of posting images. It's great to know that more people can enjoy them & it's also a chance to think about what's special about the image you've chosen. Describing what you love about that sunset, that fascinating building, that particular stone đ
