Today I learned the women in my family go into menopause in their mid-60s. I’m not sure why that would be useful in a species but I guess That’s exciting.

No idea if any of you are following along, but we successfully trapped 4 kittens and their mom. Had mom spayed Monday and just trapped the kittens today.

Also, kitten update. These are 3 of the 4 I need to trap. Mom is living in our garage after her spay surgery Monday.

Give it a couple of years. Isostatic rebound will take care of that. Well, and upwelling heat from magma, right?

Ok, I decided to unfollow a WHOLE LOT of people and news sources on here. Whew. I think things will still be informative but not as crazy to pull me in.

I am exploring ways in which to not be chronically online. I already deactivated my Instagram feed. I'm thinking I need to do the same for my Facebook account. I feel like I can't quit Bluesky even though its awful for my mental health though I feel like it's also critical to survival right now.
