Some fun variations I've done: In 2018, I wrote the story based on D&D rules, including dice rolls. It became a meta comic about some people who played D&D. In 2024, I drew a Tarot card for every page and cross-checked the card with the Hero's Journey to write the story (and it actually worked)

I've done the 24 hour comic challenge every year since 2006, mainly just for fun, so I haven't really kept archiving them. Having just completed my 20th one during this year's Oslo 24h event, I'm curious if anyone else have completed it this many times. My goal is to hit at least 24.

Depending on the the emotion you want to evoke, lighting is the key to selling the vibes.

How I prep to run D&D: I start with a flowchart, with 4 scenes I call A, B, C and D. If the session is "Players start in a city, move through a forest and end up at the castle", I'll designate one letter to each scene. A - city B - forest C - forest road(alternative to B) D - castle gates
