Nice to see a couple of my photos from the Clare Remembrance parade on Sunday in the Suffolk Free Press this week. I emailed them early in the week and hadn't heard anything back, so I wasn't sure if they'd even received them. Fujifilm X-T2 mirrorless camera, 50-230mm lens.

Damn my impatience! I went to dev the roll of Tri-x I shot in my Rolleiflex yesterday and realised I was out of developer. Mixed up some cafenol, but the negatives came out so thin that you could barely even see the edge markings! I could see small parts of each frame, so the camera is working. Grrr

Just got back from picking my Rolleiflex up from the Rolleiflex Wizard! He had to replace some kind of arm and a small spring. It feels like a new camera! 😍 The film advance/cocking is so smooth now! I can't wait to try it out over the weekend. #BelieveInFilm #ShootFilmBeNice

I thought I'd broken my Rolleiflex after just a couple of rolls though it. Turns out that if you select a slow shutter speed (like 1/30th) whilst having say f/22 selected and then move to wider aperture, the shutter speed won't let you go any faster than 1/30th until you go to f/22 again. Capish?

Well, I guess it is mirrorless in a way... Poor attention to detail saying it's got a 35mm lens, when it clearly states 25mm on it. Do better, Argos 🙄😂 #BelieveInFilm #ShootFilmBeNice

Not a totally terrible result for my first try with my coffee can pinhole. Seeing that I don't really know what the size of the hole is and I also don't have a proper way of developing 5x7 paper (dev'd in a 1L Paterson tank. #BelieveInFilm

Hacked together a 5x7in pinhole camera from an illy coffee can (it's the perfect size!) and a square of Vimto soft drinks can. Sprayed (badly) with some black spray paint I had laying about. It ain't pretty, but hopefully it'll work. I didn't measure the hole, just made it as small as I could.

My first cyanotype print for quite a while. Shot at a recent 1940s event on my 1940s Graflex Speed Graphic 4x5. Interestingly, I mixed the separate component parts (A & B) of the chems about 3 years ago. Good to see they're still very much usable! #BelieveInFilm #ShootFilmBeNice

Today marks my first "stomaversary". It was on this date a year ago that I had my surgery. I went down to theatre around 10AM and it was a 5.5hr operation. After that came the long road to recovery. Tonight I'm celebrating with a pint of cider and Mac n cheese with friends.
