"A Wild Last Boss Appeared: Black-Winged Survivor" (PS5) As expected, this was a low budget tie-in but, you know what, it was decently fun and an actual game. Funnily, it released before the anime adaption aired. Good thing I was late to it cause it spoils the entire season in the first 5 minutes.

"Damnation" (PS3) This is not a good game. Gameplay is janky, story and characters are prime Western 7th gen tryhard edgy/cool schlock, level design is poor and easy to get lost in, performance is horrible, bugs galore, etc. But for what it was, I enjoyed it once I got into the groove of things.

Just finished a game so I was updating my profile on PSNProfiles but as I was doing so, I noticed something odd. Why are the trophy lists for "Ariana and the Elder Codex" already live despite the fact that it doesn't even have an actual release date yet? I guess someone at IFI jumped the gun...

I had a momentary lapse in judgement and watched a Mother's Basement video. That was a mistake. My hatred for the Western anime community simply cannot be understated.

Just had the most random thought. Now that the penny is being made nonexistent in the US, does that mean that "Penny Punching Princess" is now officially an outdated title?

Normally, I don't bat for gacha games on principle but I think it's safe to say "Disgaea RPG" might be free-to-play friendly. I'm in the process of testing to see how much effort it takes to raise a character to 9999...but the game already handed me two of them. I still don't know what I'm doing.

Every time NIS announces anything, I'm hit with so much wonder about how'd it be or how'd I like it that I forget one key prospect. It's NIS related so we have no idea if we'll ever get it. There's no point in gaining anticipation. It keeps happening to me and I feel like going crazy.

I’ve come to learn that most people apparently really hate the PS5. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised but still. Yet here I am generally having a good time on it and even got into uploading videos since it has built in recording/editing software. I just always have to be the weird outcast I guess.

"Sackboy: A Big Adventure" (PS5) This was a simple yet charming time. The humor was a bit hit-or-miss but it's just part of how playful and joyous the game is. A shame this was ultimately the end of the entire franchise. But it was a good note to end on. Kinda funny it has "Astrobot" DLC though.

Decided to try out that 2025 Wrap Up thing. It's about as expected I suppose.

I know I shouldn't let it get to me but every now and then, I'm reminded that I really must be a goddamn freak. I enjoy the wrong media, in the wrong ways, for the wrong reasons. It's no wonder why I no longer have any friendships. I legitimately am not able to connect with anyone.

This is a surprise. "TW&THK2" got a new figure for the upcoming expo. I think this might be the first bit of, well, anything official that game has gotten since it released. Granted, it's not like I'm aware of everything but still. x.com/nis_prinny/s... Not surprised it's of Lisa though.

Was reminded of this earlier so I want to shout it out. Because "Mad Rat Dead" never made it to PC, a fan took it upon themselves a while back to essentially make their own recreation of the game specifically for PC. It's called "Mad Box Dead". It should still be freeware.

"Shantae Advance: Risky Revolution" (PS5) While I did enjoy it, I'm mixed. You can tell this was canceled and then cobbled together. The revolution gimmick felt underwhelming, only made areas more annoying to navigate. And the story barely was anything. But it's still neat that it now exists.

While on the topic of surprise guest designers, I had a case of that a bit ago I feel like mentioning. So, uh, there's this game series called "Eiyuu Senki". Let's just say...it's an interesting series. While it's all originally on PC (-cough-), I played the English PS3 version of the first entry.

While keeping up with recent game news, I had a random thought. Shinichiro Otsuka is kinda popping up everywhere now, aren't they? I wouldn't say I'm the most familiar with their stuff. Barely a decade ago, all I knew them for was for the artwork in the "Conception" games. And not even by name.

Just realized I hit 100 videos on my channel. Feels weird to say since I'm not trying to be a Youtuber. I just upload whatever random thing I think of from my PS5 since it can record footage. Mostly just wanted somewhere to log games I've played to reminisce on. Oh, and this is the lucky video:

"Narita Boy" (PS4) This was an interesting experience. Had some rough spots but the setting is quite unique and the story surprisingly heartfelt. I quite liked it. That said, there's a reason it comes with multiple photosensitivity warnings. This was not exactly easy on the eyes.

"Earth's Dawn" (PS4) This was rough. It had some fun ideas but execution was just a little too janky. Much less the mission structure which was repetitive in a not good way. And the story, while straightforward, couldn't resist the last minute plot twist and cliffhanger combo.

I talk a lot about the series but I don't think I ever really bring up which entries I actually liked or disliked. So here's me being a bit spicy I guess. Definitely some unusual placements compared to most of the community apparently.

While searching up images for that thread earlier, I came across the cover art for the "D2" guidebook and it caused my brain to short circuit for a moment. Was Flonne always that much taller compared to everyone else? Was Laharl always that short?

It's always interesting to me when unused concepts in media end up getting reintroduced in latter entries. All these ideas that never materialized being given a second chance to properly exist. One such example that comes to mind of this is from "Disgaea". That being Laharl's sister Sicily.

It's so funny going through old artbooks with various pieces of concept art. It's like taking a peak at something that could have been. There are so many familiar things that are just so ever slightly different. But then some things that are so different, they feel cursed.

Well, I just learned something new today. Interesting.

Haven't been doing a good job with starting that music thread back up. I think I gotta set a schedule or something to keep myself punctual about it.

"Sorry We're Closed" (PS5) This was pretty interesting. Don't think I've ever played anything with an aesthetic quite like what it has. Overall, it's a solid experience all around. Only problem is that I think I ended up with an unfortunate read on its themes so I have to let that stew for a bit.

"Crow Country" (PS5) I've heard a lot of positive things about it and, yeah, I can see it's much deserved. As always, it's not perfect, I got stuck in the geometry more than a couple times and it's a very short game. But they are just minor issues for an otherwise solid survivor horror experience.
