To end a busy day, last night's gig: Belle and Sebastian at the Caird Hall, with terrific support from The Pastels. The band on toppest form as they played "If You're Feeling Sinister". An album they released 30 days ago, or so it feels!

Last night's gig: Kraftwerk at The Playhouse. Great music, great and occasionally clever visuals and fantastic sound. Nothing to make you go "wow", but thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Tonight's gig: Portable Infinity at The Traverse Theatre. Bought the ticket on a whim. Little did I know that I was going to be in the presence of 4 superstars of the jazz world, at the top of their game and perfectly in sync with each other. Incredible gig!

My wishes for this World Cup is that it is full of cock ups and is an absolute shambles, showing USA and FIFA up for the sh!t shows they are. And of course, Scotland to win it.

Bus trip part 2. Through to a sunny Edinburgh with 3 hours to kill until Portable Infinity gig at The Traverse. Seems like beer and food time as the gallery is closed.

Road trip on the buses today. First up Glasgow. Coffee and cake at Smile Cafe then on to Music from Big Blue to collect a book and some CDs. Also met the cutest pup called Iona. Then on to Scran +Roadie for lunch. Next up a wee visit to Gallery of Modern Art.

No commentary on the Morocco v Norway game. So I put on the subtitles, and guess what. Absolutely hee haw there either!

Last night's gig: a wee trip down to Strathaven to see @chrisgthomson.bsky.social and The Bathers perform the excellent "Pandemonia" album. Supported by @constantfollower.bsky.social. Both bands on great form made an excellent night.

An Adam and the Ants tribute band has cancelled a gig in Fife because of poor ticket sales. I am Stunned and Bewildered! 😉

It's Collier's so it must be coffee time! Unfortunately the wind is back to a westerly so a bit of a slog on the way home.

Tonight's "gig" - Chief Commissioner Cameron Miekelson (AKA Jack Docherty) on The Scottish Police Force and it's role in protecting the people of Scotland. Also readings from his forthcoming best selling memoir, "No Apologies". Absolutely hilarious. Bams and radges denied entry.

Tonight's gig - Richard Thompson at the Usher Hall. One man and his guitar and a huge catalogue of songs to fall back on. Joined for some songs by Zara Phillips but sadly no full band. Big bonus of Hamish Hawk as support. No pics as the photo police were in full swing!

Further to yesterday's revelations re the discretely purchased bike tyres, said tyres have now been smuggled into the basement. The next time they appear they will be on the bike. Will my wife spot the 28mm over the previous 25mm? I think not! Anyone need a blue tent?

Today's "Whoops I did it again" ride as I got disoriented as I left the Pillars of Hercules Cafe and turned the wrong way, completely missing the route through Strathmiglo, shortening the route by about 5 miles. Must do better!

8 yrs ago today it was the high passes in the Andes of Peru and the Sun Gate to Machu Picchu, with my daughter Katie. Today we marked the anniversary with the slightly less arduous Lomond Hills!

Beautiful evening for a stroll along the prom. Plenty to see, although I don't know how many ducklings will survive until tomorrow.
