Okay. So, the breast ultrasound didn't find the Scary Probable Cancer they were worried about from my mammogram/MRI. We still need to watch carefully, of course. But I went into that appointment expecting a cancer diagnosis. Instead I got, "It's probably nothing." Can't complain.

Maybe some miracle will come by and the project can reach completion. But if it doesn't, well. It was fun working on it while it lasted, and I met plenty of great folks because of it, and I explored creative aspects of myself I probably wouldn't have. So, to the team, from me... thank you.

Croissant was purely meant for the people who were working on it, and for the very niche group that might have came up afterwards. The team was purely constructed of people who were passionate about the concept. And for the time I was working on it, I felt more proud than I ever have in a while.

I wanted to balance the "charm" along with "functionality", without making it a ridiculously overambitious piece of software. I wasn't wanting to cash in on the "aero nostalgia" crap, I was simply making something because I thought it'd be fun, and wanted to make something I specifically would use.

Croissant was meant to be a game launcher for Linux, sort of unifying everything (Steam, emulation, etc.) into a cute, customizable, and importantly; open source launcher. I was inspired by the 3DS/Wii U era of menu design as it was a personal favorite, with some Switch and PS5 DNA in it.
