in a world run by capitalism, where your money is intrinsically connected to your beliefs, priorities, and values, boycotts are effective. you saw how quickly disney walked back this week. their loss in revenue mattered more than the pressure to throw down the political hammer. it's not pointless.

it's impossible to boycott everything, some things are too all-encompassing to even try, but we do our best and that's what matters. and some boycotts will be more effective than others, so focus your energies where you think you can make the biggest difference.

"aren't you sick of boycotting everything?" at first it sucked but i found alternatives and remembered that genocide, mass displacement, incredibly fucked up mining practices, freedom of speech, etc, are so much more important issues than not having a latte or a burger or a streaming service.
