IMO, one of the most important ideas from social networks is that our social world is not an agreed upon fact but is perceived differently by different people and those perceptions matter. I loved working on this project led by @kyosuketanaka.bsky.social , who is an expert in network perceptions.

Excited to share a new paper with @jeremydfoote.com et al.: we found that preadolescents often disagree on who is bullying whom. Peers recognize bullies—especially boys and cross-sex bullying—but overlook bullying within friendships. 👉 doi.org/10.1016/j.so... #bullying #socialnetworks #education
