Today we welcomed an author into school to take part in a live activity. Pupils worked to create fox characters, while also thinking carefully about their character’s personality and where they might live. P5 enjoyed the experience and loved bringing their characters to life! 🌟 #DPSBookWeek2026

We used our invention designs and posters to create persuasive advertisement videos. In our videos, we explained what our inventions are, how they work, and why people should buy them. We filmed and edited our videos using the iPads. 🎥📢

We carried out an experiment to see which materials are the most water-resistant. We tested wood, plastic, tin foil, paper and tissue. This experiment will help us decide which materials work best for our inventor challenge! 💧🔍

We became inventors for the day! We designed and created brand new inventions to solve everyday problems. We loved seeing everyone’s curiosity, problem-solving and innovative thinking in action.💡🛠️
