So I got a new-to-market 3D printer a little under a month ago and I've been using it quite a bit. It's a Sovol 06 ACE, from @sovol.bsky.social It's done some pretty accurate prints, and it's fast, but the autoleveling bed is the actual selling point. I don't think I would buy one without 1/?

2 weeks in, got an enclosure, printed a case for the Mean Well PSU in PETG, made an MT60 extension cord. Printed new part cooler, extruder cooler, sensor mount and strain reliefs for the hotbed cable in ABS. Still waiting for my Klipper display @sovol.bsky.social

Things have slowed down in the #3dprint room of late. I switched filament brand which led to an issue with a clogged nozzle, then a cracked heater, and now a faulty extruder board. @sovol.bsky.social have been wonderful thus far with communicating (despite the time difference)…

Lots going on! Ordered my Varjo Aero. And in preparation I got a 3D printer because fuckery needed to ensue to make it work well for me because of the lack of audio. And got everything ready for my face tracker. God I miss VR but back soon baby!

Ten Sovol printer je nakonec fakt docela slušná tiskárna. Tuhle ruku zvládl za 4 hodiny 20 minut a ve slušné kvalitě. Proti 15 nebo 16 hodinám na prusovce.

ひとつだけ言っておかないといけないのは、Sovol SV07+ はファンを100%で回してると気が狂いそうになるくらい音がでかいってこと。スライサのプロファイルで最大スピードをデフォルトの値と比べて50%～33%まで落として、ファンの回転を60%くらいにおとすんだ。これでやっとまともな音量になる

Finally mucking about with my SV08. Turns out, the stock feet don't give it enough cooling space for the H616 CPU to cool itself off, even with a fan. So I printed some TPU feet on my MK3S, and gained 10mm of space that makes all the difference. Now to use a better fan and hope it helps.
