Donald Trump is seeking to erase the United States as we know it

The White House has gone after another leading law firm. This time Paul Weiss. I cannot overstate how dangerous this is—and how urgent for the private bar to respond with solidarity to this assault on the legal profession and rule of law.

DoJ is obeying it until the 11th circuit hears the case. But DOJ should dismiss the remaining defendants, that they shouldn’t be subject to criminal penalties if DJT is not. That would leave pending a bizarre dismissal decision by Cannon but that is not precedent for other dct judges.

Trump filed another motion before Cannon to stop both reports. Cannon has jurisdiction over none of this … no right to address the J6 report at all. And no right to address the MAl report, a case she has dismissed, to protect a trial the she believes should never happen. It is lawless.

1/Donald Trump signed the timeline agreement for Afghanistan withdrawal. Biden carried it out. Trump's transition team, if reporting is correct, is talking about prosecuting officers for following lawful orders. Hard to see that surviving a Rule 32 hearing (sort of like a criminal grand jury)...
