I don’t take it for granted. But it feels a little nice, having so many people vying for time with me around my birthday. This year, I have even more plans lined up.

Ever since the match, I’ve been talking with Killia. He’s nice. He’s been helping me with a few things.

Being on the run for so long, I never understood the demon culture of bonding through battle. Fighting was always just a means of survival. But now that I’m a little more healthy, I’m beginning to understand it.

Sore.

Since I’ve been home, I’ve slept most of the time. It’s too cold to sit outside. So I end up under the kotatsu instead. Which leads to dozing. But it’s fine. I’m getting back with it.

It isn’t many calories. So it probably doesn’t matter. But it’s probably safe to say that Italian ice, is something I can do every day. At this point, it’s even a little comforting.

If I was the demon I was supposed to be, I’d blame anyone but myself for why I’m like this. But I know it’s my fault. If I had just been better. If I hadn’t been run through. Maybe I wouldn’t be as unhealthy as I am. Maybe I might’ve made it long enough just to die, before it mattered.

Found a few astronomy terms that were new and interesting to me. Made new spells based off of them. That’s probably a good summary of me.

I don’t ever want to go back to Celestia. But I still wonder how Caroline is doing. Despite everything, she was always kind to me.

When I was younger, many demons came after me, thinking I was trying to become Overlord. I’m beginning to see why.

It means a lot, that so many people care about making sure I have accessible food. I don’t take it for granted.

I found a ginger tea that I like. It isn’t as strong as the others. But it works just as well. Maybe even a little better.

It’s been so long, that managing this much magic again, has been a little overwhelming. I need to go. I need to do something. It’s almost too much. Restless.

Even after all the progress I’ve made, I still have bad days. A magic pool that rivals how much I had when I had the Artifact, won’t fix all the physical damage I sustained. I knew that. It isn’t that I’m surprised. It’s just a little disheartening.

It’s been a good day. Comforting.

I want to explore again. I want to go to worlds I’ve never been before, without needing to worry about whether or not I’ll be too weak. Even with the magic reserves I’ve built up again, it isn’t enough.

I can barely read Eorzean text. But I think I have the gist of Sharlayan healing magic.

I want to learn more healing magic. It’s something I’ve been thinking about for a while. I know a base spell. But the process to learn it, wasn’t all that pleasant. If I could just find a new method, I could be as good at it as anyone else.

Ever since last week, I’ve been anxious to go treasure hunting again. It’s as though I went so long without doing anything, that I forgot all the things I used to enjoy. It took experiencing it again, to remind me.

Busier than I expected. But it wasn’t in a bad way. I did a lot, with numerous people. An exploration, a meal, and two desserts.

I’ve always been fond of this time of year. When it’s cooler, and the crickets are more prevalent. Storms being a little more common is nice, too.

I might be a better magic tutor than I thought. Being able to see others’ magic signatures, has its perks.

I should visit Sicily more often. Normally, it’s just my baby sister who I end up seeing. But I’m sure she wouldn’t mind.

I know I keep saying it. But I like it here. The food is comforting. The atmosphere is soothing. Even the water looks nice. Maybe it’s just because it’s the first time I’ve travelled in a while. But it’s been a long time, since I’ve been to a place that felt so welcoming. As if I’ve always known it.

This place is nice. Maybe it’s just that it’s been so long, since I’ve been somewhere new. But it feels calm. Inviting. It’s only been a day. But I already like it.

It feels like it’s been years since I went anywhere for more than a few days. I’m excited. But there are new things I’m worried about. Like if the stray cat in our yard will be all right. It isn’t as if he doesn’t go missing on his own sometimes. But I’ll always be worried about him.

Warm day. Zosma wanted to be brushed outside. I haven’t been back inside since. It feels nice.
