It’s so funny being a whole entire demon and one of your best friends (also a demon) is all excited about Christmas already because it’s his favorite season.

Our oldest is back in the other world for his new duties, but our youngest is staying with us indefinitely for now. Some experiences from the tournament messed him up pretty bad. It was almost like seeing him back to the point when we first met, but he’s bounced back pretty quick.

This WHOLE time I thought we weren’t getting updates because of some timeline misalignment. Like, maybe years have passed on our end, while for the kids it’s only been a couple of weeks or something, right? Nope, their phones got CONFISCATED before they even left for the tournament. I’m so miffed.

It’s finally starting to feel like stuff is going back to normal. Killia still insists that we all take a break, so apart from that. I’m not exactly needed for Council stuff right now either, so if anything it just feels like a (well deserved) vacation.

It’s kind of wild to think about how for an entire year, there was all this tension and everyone was constantly trying to prepare or find out more about these mystery opponents, and then just like that, it was over.

I don’t like to think a lot about my childhood or whatever, but looking back at that compared to what I’ve got now is almost unreal. After an upset or sustaining this much damage, I would be pretty much left to deal with it alone back then. Hell, even 10 years ago it wouldn’t have been like this.

I’m so, so tired. But I’ve got a beautiful man with a beautiful voice literally singing me to sleep every time since I got home. It doesn’t get any better than this

Life is so fucking weird. One second I’m in the ring training with people in preparation for some world shattering event (again), and then the next second I’m being informed that my cute little side project to provide safe and private vacation destinations to people is complete.

MAN. Today was ultra stressful, and now we’re out here laughing about dumb food videos. We’re gonna be okay.

Whew. Man. Okay. I think I’m taking the next couple days off.

Boy am I glad one of my best friends is good with property management and stuff. My branch just picked up a bunch of new affiliate locations, and now I’ve got to work on inventory and premises guidelines. He’s helping with distribution and integration.

Yesterday was a pretty momentous anniversary, so I’ve been busy. I know, what’s new.

I’ve been working hard on so much behind the scenes for years, and the Council FINALLY accepted my proposal about some changes. /Technically/ my workload just doubled… but it’s split between 2 halves of the year, which makes all of it as a whole a lot more manageable.

I got a new dress just for New Year’s. One of my work friends is going to do my makeup. People are going to drop dead the second I walk in. ✨

You know, all things considered, this year’s work stuff has gone pretty smoothly.

My friend is so cool. What the hell.

He says, conveniently leaving out the part where he scares the living shit out of half of my Item Worlding crew with Overlord class nonsense that leaves utter destruction in its wake. This guy is over here causing magic explosions and walking away from them like it’s nothing.

Favorite part of the multiverse has got to be taking inspiration from all the stuff other worlds have come up with which we couldn’t have even dreamed of otherwise.

November’s almost over, and work has gone into overdrive. But like, in a fun way. I miiiight have hijacked another world’s magic, and now the tech and space branch are having a field day with it.

Thank fuck. 1) I was right, everything was settled pretty quick. 2) I’m glad I’m no longer a stupid bastard idiot who could’ve had the entire multiverse on my tail, because if the guys I work with now ever decided I was the enemy, I’d be crushed five ways to Sunday.

Ughhh. Sometimes stuff is so messed up that it’s just infuriating. I can’t talk about specifics because of work privacy stuff, but I still can’t believe this nonsense. I just wanted to go home and play with my dumb pet spider.

It depends on the Netherworld, but demons don’t really celebrate birthdays. The concept of a birthday party or gifts or whatever usually has to be introduced to us first, and then we either adopt the practice, or don’t really get it.

Man. The problem with having such a public facing position is that some people are just downright mean. I honestly can’t tell if this is basic bullying or something closer to transphobia. Like, I get that I’m the Cardinal of Relations and all, but my appearance shouldn’t matter?

I’m probably the last person with any right to say this since I kept such a low profile on the last site, but it’s cool to finally see the whole crew back together.

I spelled that wrong, and I’m not fixing it. My adamant respect for names stops at fictional religious characters that are in direct opposition to my species.

It’s like everybody woke up and realized that tomorrow is the start of the holiday season. The request box is already stuffed.

Okay. New plan. Now that stuff’s chilling out, weekends are for Pokemon stuff. My partner and I are finally going to go meet some Comfey and Chikorita and see if he vibes with any of them.

The last thing I need is another job after finally resigning from 2 others, but it’s fun to think about how I could probably qualify as a teacher if I really wanted to pursue it. Although now that I think about it, I doubt I’d be able to handle the traditional papers and organization and stuff.

Some of the stuff that lands on my quote unquote desk is wild. People come up with stuff that I wouldn’t have even dreamed of, and I love that.

The end of year stuff is already starting to ramp up. I’ve got a lot to think about, in a couple ways.

“Void, you can’t go kicking people out without discussing it with us first” sounds great on paper until I explain WHY I did. Luckily everyone agreed with me and made sure those guys wouldn’t be coming back. Although it pisses me off that no one else even considered taking the initiative before me.

The multiverse might be a scary place, but at least I’ll always have my bug room.

Okay. So it’s probably some timeline merge fuckery. Cool. Because we all know how that ended last time.

All we know is that we know nothing. No one’s picked up on or sensed anything since the first encounter. So, who or whatever those things were, they’re long gone. Talk about whiplash. Everyone was all prepared to go to war, and then just like that, we’re in the clear to leave. Wild.
