Ugh. Bracing for a world where what it taught in school is subject to the tyranny of the most intolerant parent. Education by heckler-veto. Curriculum by the pearl-clutching consensus. And it’s gonna get a whole lot worse.

The school district here previously tried notice-and-opt-out and it was such an administratively unworkable burden they created the policy that was challenged in this case. There was a robust record IN THIS CASE showing that the practical result was no LGBTQ books.

Thinking today of that John Dingell quote “[i]f I let you write the substance and you let me write the procedure, I’ll screw you every time,” but that can’t possible be what the Court is up to, right?
