By the sea but not necessarily by the book
It's usually Pacific State that gets mentioned when people think of 808 State but for me this was their masterpiece.

Just spent a lot of money on a new pair of gloves. It'd better be a cold winter is all I'm saying. (I have arthritic fingers and they hurt when they get cold so I'm not being entirely frivolous with my spending).

Gregggg and Philip Schofield. Both experienced in TV and free of other commitments. Perfect really. Failing that Gary Lineker and Greta Thunberg just to see how annoyed the daily mail can get before they've even started

New specs. They look like pretty much every other pair I've had recently, cost a fortune because I have an unerring knack for picking out expensive frames plus I'm old and need varifocals and somehow they were already filthy within 10 minutes of me putting them on.

Sometimes I want to listen to music, sometimes I love to read, sometimes I just want to stare at football on the telly. Today I don't want to listen to music and can't be bothered read so I'm having to watch Scotland play Denmark. Fuck you international breaks.

Great Yarmouth is set to host the biggest neo-nazi music festival in over a decade. The Home Office has the power to block entry of overseas bands, which will scupper the promoters plans. But they won’t act unless we demand it. Email the Home Office now:

Today I've been shopping with the girl for stuff for her uni flat, tomorrow the boy is off to Leeds festival with his mates. Got them through childhood without breaking them and they've turned out to be good people - I think I can be quite proud of that. Still makes me feel old though!
