As a Gridanian, Lewin grew up eating a lot of Mun Tuy beans. He wasn't a total vegetarian (he comes from a family of hunters) but he actually didn't eat a varied diet UNTIL he left Gridania. He can't stand the sight, smell or taste of Mun Tuy beans now and absolutely REFUSES to touch them now.
