The centauricorn people of Melphor aren't a common sight outside of the homeland, but they're still well-known to the other races. This one in particular is Uktala the Bountiful, an elder among the gods. Wiki page: buff.ly/jKhZVEo

Linndan has had a lot of horses in his long life. Xan is the latest one. Xantoxu is the only other horse in the Aetherium to have a name on the page. Xan is actually from Keverynn, a fact Linndan has to hide when he's forced to return to Melphor.

My proofreading and beta reading gigs say fantasy, but in reality I've worked on books in a wide range of genres. Today, for example, I'm working on a self-help book with a ton of Buddhist terms used. I specialize in fantasy, but I enjoy being exposed to things I might never pick up on my own.

Valekishan is Nuren's military-issue gelding and is one of only 2 named horses in the published Aetherium novels. The stripes on the saddle blanket indicate where the rider is stationed. In this case, Nuren is on his way to his new post at Summer Waters.

With this being the year of the horse, I thought it would be fun to talk about the different horses and horse-adjacent species in my worlds. While I was getting my notes together to start on this project, it occurred to me that there are only 2 horses whose names are mentioned in the books.

I find it very difficult when someone mentions things they like/dislike in fantasy novels and I'm over here like, you'd probably like my books for having/not having those things. Yes, I should promote myself, but it feels so cringe to do that in a youtube video comment.
