On day one of a new SNP government, I will demand powers over energy to be transferred to the Scottish Parliament - so we can cut bills, protect jobs and unlock investment. If Westminster will not bring your bills down, they should get out of the way for a government that will.

Today's statistics show we're making real progress in reducing waiting times for patients across Scotland. Long waits are down for the sixth month in a row, and inpatient and outpatient procedures are up. More to do, but it's encouraging to see sustained improvement in our NHS.

Last Saturday I spent time in A&E listening to staff and watching them deliver excellent care under pressure. There are real challenges in our NHS, but also real progress - long waits coming down, more operations and more GPs. I’m determined to build on this in 2026.

I’m in politics to raise people’s living standards, but in the UK, they’re flat as a pancake. Scotland can do so much better with independence.

I'm focused on serving the people of Scotland with every fibre of my body. ✅ More NHS operations and more GPs ✅ Literacy and numeracy at record high ✅ Highest business investment in 20 years ✅ Child poverty falling Delivering progress on your priorities.
