I continue to enjoy great pottery throwdown but it's also interesting/frustrating on a meta level to see the more annoying aspects of the recent Bakeoff structure seep through the cracks. suddenly we have poorly-thought-out Theme Weeks, and projects that seem designed to fail, and that feels Weird

having to make some calls to my credit card company today and nearly got trapped in a robot phonetree that kept mishearing me. the rapidity with which I went from yelling "CONNECT ME TO A REPRESENTATIVE, NOW!!" to having a pleasant, informative conversation with a human being was staggering.

my current tv: a series of unfortunate events: after every episode i have at least ten complaints about the writing, directing, stylization, and bonkers color grading, which is a real shame because i love the books! keeping at it because i like the actors but hmmm. :T tbh it shoulda been animated.

Slowly realizing that this collapsed arches thing has been quietly affecting my entire life for decades. When out with friends I get fatigued just standing around to chat. I avoid chores like dishes because of all the standing involved. Jobs where I couldn't sit were uniquely torturous. Just...dang!

one thing I need for the studio is a flat file to keep my papers in. in the apartment they were in bins in a closet, but we just don't have that kind of space, and they neeeed to be inside something to stave off light damage

My partner and I have been reading Dracula Daily out loud to each other. We've taken to always using a ridiculous vampire accent for Dracula, a bubbly teen voice for Lucy, and, most difficult of all, a "Podcaster Voice" for Jack Seward.

today we finally met the owners of the house we're renting, and it turns out they're quite nice! it's two daughters of the elderly couple who originally owned the place. at one point i wound up perched in the kitchen while one fixed some grout on the countertop and chattered about House Lore, haha

Had about a day's grace period after the meds ended where I felt fine, went to a wedding even! Aaand just woke up at 4something to my limbs feeling heavy again, orz

A metric of my returning energy: after a few weeks of nothing but little doodles of myself in varying states of pain, yesterday I scribbled out six different art nouveau-style Andor fanart ideas. They were thumbnails, not any more detailed than the doodles, but I think they might have potential!

first day on the new meds and feel MUCH better, like the rapidity in which I felt Normal this morning was absolutely wild. I may even be a little /too/ Normal ,,(⊙ ヮ ⊙ ),, But god, I can use stairs without wincing and I have my motivation back, even if this is temporary I'm so happy to have it ;0;

Had a brief but productive dr visit today, she had to run to deliver a baby but before she left she made a possible connection between my colitis and joint pain, apparently they can be comorbid. in the meantime while we wait for tests and referrals, she prescribed me steroids to reduce the swelling!

andor's good though i'm glad mon mothma is getting her chance to shine (and her actress as well!) and mannnn the built environments in this show are just stellar

all i tweet about right now is this illness but i am just so sick of feeling so bad so constantly! i'm so tired but sleeping makes it worse! agggh!

pain update: Not parvo, not rheumatoid arthritis, so the FNP sent me back to do ANOTHER Lyme test. Guess we'll see. If this comes back negative too I might go get a second opinion somewhere else, I'm gettin tired of this
