I saw something yesterday that said if you miss your friend let them know. I did just that a few weeks ago. There was no reply. I have to build up a lot of nerve just to text, email, or call someone because I fear the silence. When I’m ignored it’s only a reminder of just how invisible I am.

Alphabetically by band name or artists’ last name. Chronologically within that. Reggae/ska/rocksteady is filed separately as are 12” singles & 45s. CDs are filed the same. CD-Rs are filed separately.

I’ve been waiting with eager anticipation for this new bookstore/coffee shop to open. They had only a small smattering of books & the coffee was overpriced. At least one characteristic of being an introvert I mostly don’t relate to. I keep my ringer on silent & let most phone calls go to voicemail. If they don’t leave a message I generally don’t return the call. However, when a friend accidentally called me recently I returned the call.

This will mean absolutely nothing to anybody because I’m not connected to any friends or relatives on here that knew my Dad but he was born on this day in 1925. He passed away in 1994 at the age of 68. To his right in this photo is his identical twin brother John who died at the age of 48 in 1973.

27 years ago today I came home from the record store with these two albums. Up was the 1st R.E.M. album w/o Bill Berry & was a grower with lots to absorb. Faithless Street was an expanded reissue of Whiskeytown’s debut. It was an easy listen with lots to love. A favorite track from each below.

Kiss was one of my first favorite bands as a kid in the 70s. I haven’t listened to them with any regularity for decades. When I do, it’s usually Alive! or Destroyer, among the first albums I ever owned. They were my 2nd concert in ‘76 when I was 14. Today, another huge chunk of my youth has died.
