1/ We're excited to announce Artist Commons' first two Visiting Artists in Residence! One of our favorite things about designing this artist development program was finding a way to put students in close contact with established contemporary artists actively shaping the field.

What an amazing night seeing the last batch of Artist Commons applications piling in. This is going to be such a good group of artists learning and growing together. We have such a good year ahead 🧡

1/ I've had so much fun this week doing admissions interviews for @artistcommons.bsky.social applicants. It's been inspiring to get to know the work of artists based all over the world. Last week I Zoomed with artists in New York, Lagos, Mexico City, Sydney, Tbilisi, Tehran, Portland, and Santiago.

1/ I am delighted to announce two of our largest scholarship donations to @artistcommons.bsky.social so far. The first, from collector Benny Redbeard, will enable several artists who otherwise couldn't participate in the program to enroll and grow their art practice over the next year.

1/ Artists, how would you answer this question? When I worked as a fine art photographer making staged narrative photographs, I had so many crew members working for me that every minute on set mattered. Time was money. So every detail had to be planned out weeks in advance.
