I prioritized myself

300 characters ain’t enough. The worst is someone saying “well it could be worse”, or someone using my situation to compare to theirs to somehow show that they had it worse than me. Absolutely the wrong thing to do I promise you.

Someone can be there for me by just being present. Sitting with me in silence. Let me sob, let me scream, let me stare into space but just be there. That person may not realize but they are my anchor. I need a safe space to just let my emotions out (safely) but I need someone to bring me back.

My room is a mess. Complete disaster My hair hasn’t been touched in a month My skin turns gray. No colour, just drained Me spending too much time sleeping but never feeling rested. The signs people can’t see are the heart palpitations and the constant brain fog.

Grief

I try my best to avoid sad things. TikTok especially has become an outlet for people to channel their grief. It’s very common to be scrolling on TikTok and seeing someone dead in their casket with some sad song in the background. I hate that shit personally. Fucks me up too much.

It’s not normal how sensitive I am to environments and people’s emotions. I’m like a sponge, I absorb all type of energy and it fucks me up daily. I think I’m too empathetic.

Last night

I’ve never been clinically diagnosed so I won’t say I have one. But it’s important people know that mental health diagnoses looks different in everyone. Don’t assume that the well put together, conventionally attractive, social butterfly isn’t fighting for their life daily.

I go home and shed my mask every day and wear my real face in private.

It could be better. Or it could get worse. I’m somewhere in between that.

Saw the topic for today’s questions and literally chuckled. Ok time to check in on my mental health. Which I’ve been avoiding.

The problem with baking for me is that I’m a perfectionist. If it doesn’t come out good on my first try, I’ll take it personally 😂

For my horror friends, has anyone watched Penny Dreadful? I just bought the whole first season because of one tiktok video (you know those videos where it’s playing a scene from the show with an AI voice narrating?) Am I in for a treat or did I just waste my money?

Maturing is realizing that a quiet life in the country side, with a couple farm animals and my own garden doesn’t sound too bad anymore.

People tell me bad news now and it’s like I’m compartmentalizing it, my reaction and my emotions. If I process everything at once I’m going to implode so this is the only strategy I have left.

sunday scaries are setting in

I was planning to have a soft life Sunday. Wake up late, shower, breakfast, drop off items for donation and then go shopping. Got in the car, immediately that check engine light comes on and the car starts acting stupid. Turned it off & called my man. Absolutely not dealing with that today

It’s getting warmer which means I need to buy back all my naturium products and get my skin glowy again after winter

My dad grows scotch bonnet peppers at home and I have nothing better to do than start a random thread documenting his progress .After 9 days, we noticed the first seedlings starting to ‘hatch’ Now look at them at two weeks!
