Today, someone I loved dearly died after 9 months of living with Stage IV lung cancer. It was horrible to watch her body be slowly ravaged by it, and while I know you can still get it even if you don't smoke - stop smoking.

I took one of our sweet shelter pups, Coco, out for a birthday date today. She turns 1 on Monday and no pup deserves to celebrate a big day in the shelter - hopefully our walk, trip to Pet Supplies Plus and local farm for some ice cream made her day. She picked out her own birthday toy and snax.
