The U.S. Supreme Court just refused to take up a case against Poudre School District that claimed lessons or discussions about gender identity violate parental rights. That means the lower court’s decision where that argument was rejected still stands. This is a win for all students.

RMEQ joined advocacy and health organizations in submitting an amicus brief urging the U.S. Supreme Court to uphold Colorado’s law banning licensed medical practitioners from practicing “conversion therapy” on minors. The case, Chiles v. Salazar, will be heard by the Court this October.

Today, Governor Polis signed a bill passed by the legislature (SB25B-002) into law. This allows Colorado to reimburse providers like Planned Parenthood for lifesaving healthcare provided to Medicaid patients, including cancer screenings, STI testing, birth control consultations, and HIV treatment.
