Made a map of where I work.

EVERY cultural institution I’ve worked for in San Antonio, between 4 separate entities, has had extremely high turnover (at ALL levels). There’s really only 1 entity in town (that I haven’t worked for) — which hasn’t operated like a glorified revolving door. Is this the actual field? Is this it?

Today, while checking the drip coffee machine— I noticed a clean strainer in the unit. I sighed a sigh of relief and couldn’t help but feel a sense of pride, knowing that I had cleaned up after the last use. 😮‍💨😌 All I have is pettiness. All I have owned are the little victories.

I swear to the freakin’ lord— it’s like my KNOWS I have NO health insurance RN.

I’m doing crayon drawings for my upcoming show and I couldn’t be more excited! Going back to basics and reflecting and recontextualizing the media I grew up with…

For every year of the last 10 – I keep running into elders who tell me about all the connections,resources and amenities they had access to. It’s frustrating bc most of which has dried up and shuttered here. “Turns out the gravy trained was subsumed by private equity in 2005.” Go figure.
