sunday’s trips kept me close to the city and home. actually ate a decent dinner for once: cheese tortellini with shrimp scampi in vodka sauce (vodka not incl) and some corn

saturday was a typical busy day. got a trip to p/up someone up in a park. rider wasn’t there - someone said he’d already been picked up - and then started getting calls from Uber support! thus began a 2+ hour scamming session and i let them do it even while saying it all felt like a scam!

stopped for gas on friday and then went inside to get a receipt. came back out, the keyfob wouldn’t unlock the car! popped out the hidden key to do it manually and…THERE’S NO KEYHOLE!!! WTF!!??!! 😮😡 i’d gone thru this before so went back in to buy a button battery & swapped it out. success!! *whew*

on thursday, the window for the HVAC tech was 1230-1630, but he didn’t make it here until about 1700’ish. figured out that the “routine maintenance” that the guy back in the spring was spouting wasn’t the issue. rather, a fried circuit board. grrrr… now waiting on parts ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

finally took a well-deserved day off on wednesday and did a few things around the house and then popped by the grocery store for a couple of things. got a seasonal reminder to get my beard game on point. 🎅🏼🤪

#VeteransDay can often become more like a second #MemorialDay and i can get all emo with my memories. and after 22 years, there’s a boatload of ‘em. wanted to wear some old uniform bits, but nothing really fit.

it’s nice to be remembered in a good way. on monday, i dropped a woman off at her job at a department store and seeing the Home Depot in the same plaza, i popped in to find some magnetic adhesive tape (yes, that’s a thing) for a project i’ve been helping a friend with.

on saturday i could see the storm clouds on the horizon, but made a new friend @ Costco; no, i didnt bring him home…butt was tempted

friday, i rolled the big 100K on #wooferCar2! that makes just shy of 5K per month..:crazy!

wednesday: the arrival of the Beaver Supermoon - biggest of the year!

luckily we still had yard waste pickup so tuesday evening i put out the bin. the reason it was so crazy full was that last friday, some big truck busted off one of the branches on the bradford pear and my amazing neighbor chopped it up before i got home. way to go, Kim!

sunday found me in a pensive mood but was a good day nonetheless. love what somebody did to this condom dispenser at a gas station restroom. hmmm… 🤔🤔🤔 #busted

on saturday i hung out with some of the gang for cards against humanity. on the way, i had to stop by @Costco and they were offering #COVID shots so i took them up on the offer! at game night, i made everyone air-fried cheese curds. my first try and kinda yummy!

friday was #Halloween, obviously, and as threatened, i put on my #Beetlejuice #Uberdriver outfit. i had the makeup i used for the Cat in the Hat the day before, so it was a natural.

tried out a costume on thursday and it was a hit! i even sang the song for the old timers: “Cat…Hat…in french, Chat Chapeau in spanish, El Gato in a Som-brer-o… in german, i’m a Katze in ein Hut (and doncha know…) i’m a Gunka in a Bunkakwunk in es-kim-ooo….”🎶 #TheCatInTheHat #DrSeuss

thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes on Wednesday. 66…whodathunkit? kept a low profile. just did stuff around the house. found 15 bucks as i pulled dress shirts out of the dryer,! undoubtedly a tip a guest gave me as i was helping them with their stuff at their destination. bonus!!

tuesday was my quarterly checkup; all ok and A1C was a record-breaking (for me) 5.0!!!😮😮😮 got a flu shot while i was at it, but gotta go to Walgreens for the COVID. other than that it was a cold, drizzly day…

sunday was drizzly and blah, though met an old friend @ Mickey-D’s.

saturday was just lost…this gig really makes me hate people sometimes…and that makes me both mad and sad.

so my buddy has been looking for an apartment and a mutual friend found one on FB Marketplace, but the “woman” who was renting it kept wanting him to sign up for some background check promising to reimburse him for anything he spent on it when he came to see the place that weekend.

thursday: annual check-in w/ #sleepanea doc + afternoon check-in with my trusty mechanics (getting a $100 rebate on my new set of tires). 3 hours of g’Ubering in the middle had a really surreal vibe. goofy post i was planning just wasn’t coming together so you get this strange pic.
