kinda good example of this is how they handle the MJ reveal in homecoming. You cant adapt the original gag of her existence into the jackpot line because we all know who MJ is, but having every basic trait be different to throw us off ends up giving the same effect of, "THAT'S MJ???!?!"

i dont think you can adapt the death of gwen stacy into film. i think its genuinely impossible if you play it straight for it to have the same effect.

dont know if you caught this @shoogles.bsky.social but evening star released the document from their GDC talk on penny's big breakaway and it was brilliant to see them talk about what were bringing up in your video, but more importantly already having potential solutions in mind.

interesting a lot of the tech here for those airbrushed 3d visuals and even the colour palletes were carried over for penny. sucks we didnt get to see a full game of this but penny being 3D meant it probably wouldve still brought a lot more interesting things to the table, especially for the devs.

Reading through Superman Red and Blue and this short story by Mark Buckingham has a much better take on what gunn was doing in the movie. Lara still describes earth as primitive and barbaric compared to krypton, but it comes from a fear of their son's safety, not about how it needs to be a dictator.
