Ding everyone!!!! Quilt is done!!!! Queen size quilt for a royal quilt!

So a lot of quilting is being a mechanic and I have no idea what exact part is squealing as I opened her up and oiled everything maintenance troubleshooting says to do. FYI this sound is migraine inducing. It lasts about a minute and then goes back to normal sewing for a while.

Slow and steady we go. Don’t worry just a huge number of hours of quilting left. Could be another midnight night… worth it! Look how pretty this pantograph is!

My god the top is finally complete!!!! Next to get it mounted on the long arm and quilt this beast! One Block Wonder quilts eat your heart out! I’m really proud of this journey

She lives!!! The Frankenstein of quilting parts that are barely compatible with each other are sewing in unison and not breaking thread. Thank god they still make encoders for this machine or I would have been screwed!

I think I determined which hexagons are going where. Might swap a few for a better gradient. Going to sit on this a few days. I have an embroidered bag to finish now that this quilt can be set to the side

This quilt will be over 6 feet wide!!! Finally some serious progress and sewed the first rows of hexagons together. Now to map out the rest of the quilt the length of the polar bear panel so I can keep sewing across this awesome quilt!

I think I need a bigger board… made a ton of hexagons today and I swear the pile to be assembled remains almost endless. I think I need to assemble the top layer first and see where that lands me as it will dictate how the main panel is going to fit among the hexagons.

I can’t decide if I want more leaves… a major math error resulted in a neat light through the forest look on the sashing. It’s not perfect. I ran out of fabric for perfect. Math is hard folks! And a reminder you need more fabric as the border gets bigger… not the same measurements..

OMFG it’s AI generated. Look at the left hand of the rear most Mook. I mean 3 suns could have been a design choice, but hands don’t hold guns like that. Also the pee yellow colors are very common in the AI generation right now

Mrs Luna says Hi is being so helpful with quilting layout layout. But step 3 of the Bargello quilt is completed. Now to sew all the strips together!

I’m excited for all these quilt panels. Many are discounted due to misprints and bringing life back into them is exciting. I spent the last year getting good at measuring, cutting, and piecing to be ready for what I want to do this year of conventions. Get excited for a bargello style quilt!

Ok, sometimes traveling for work has its perks. Just had the best lobster roll in my life at Salt and Barrel on Long Island. But I am excited to go home Friday back to my sewing machine!

A gift for my nephew. He wanted some blue tooth head phones. Got some momma approved ones and had to jazz it up, because well, Auntie is awesome. Gesso, acrylic pens, and clear varnish. I kinda want a set for me now.

For the first time in 7 years I have found a toad in my yard! The pond is 4 years old and little by little the wilderness is returning to this manicured suburb at least in my yard!

Spiffy parasite I found after a skin scrape of mine koi. Trichodina is easy to treat and then they get to join the school

The big stingray has been made! And contains 5 USB powered heat mats inside along the belly and fins! With the push of a button he has 3 heating modes and is quite toasty!

Getting super close to a final design for the @anthrocon.org plushies I will be selling at my vendor table. Complete with mouth pocket for something spiffy. The larger ones will have USB powered heat to drape on a shoulder or stomach to cuddle. Get psyched! Here is a lumberjack Sea flapjack!

Wow thank you for the huge response to this quilt!!! I have discovered I need to replace a cable on my sewing machine. I have ordered the part and it should arrive in a week. Until then I will start up my next giant quilt. The anthrocon art show will be quite the show!

Forward progress on the quilt robot practice quilt. The top is assembled at last! Now I need to dig through the fabric hoard to find enough fabric for backing of this quilt. 48”x48” so far. I will probably add a nice binding to it.
