Happy Halloween (hey, it's late Halloween night)! My work team were pirates this year, but being me, I added a twist...I was Jack (the monkey) from Pirates of the Caribbean!

I am heartbroken to announce this, even if not that many people watch, but as of now Chrono Trigger is on an indefinite hiatus. Tonight the power supply in my 6 week old gaming PC blew. I still have my old PC and yes I was making episodes of Chrono Trigger on that.

I’ve gone quiet on content for a while, but didn’t want to post about why until it was official. My mother passed away earlier today. She was 79 and died from pneumonia and kidney failure. I’ll be back to my channels at some point but obviously, I don’t know when.

I've been working on a new schedule, and I'm excited to announce it! Starting this week, episodes of Orange Ranger Plays Chrono Trigger will be posted Mondays and Fridays, noon (12PM) Eastern. This is actually one LESS episode than I usually post in a week, but it will help me be more consistent.

I liked what I saw from the Mario Kart World Direct, but I can’t help the main takeaway being that it does not justify the price. I’m not sure it ever can. Then I started having a growing fear…that the Tour-like roster of character costumes points to in-game monetization.

I always have SO MUCH FUN when I’m on Jamie’s stream! We talked Mario Kart World, and Jamie beat Wind Waker, with a little villainous voice acting from me at the end! Thanks Jamie for having me on again!

I replaced the HDMI cable. I changed the audio rate on OBS. I changed OBS to record to MKV. I've done everything I know to do. I just recorded another hour of Far Cry 6 THAT I CAN'T USE because the audio glitched out. It speeds up, drops out, comes back fine, and loops that pattern.

So, on the latest edition of feeling like a failure as a Let's Player...I recorded 5 episodes of Far Cry 6 tonight and SOMETHING went wrong with the gameplay audio the entire time. It kept fast forwarding, cutting out, coming back. I'm going to post the episodes with royalty-free music.

THIS WAS SO MUCH FUN! Ugh, I love Jamie (@thegamejamie.bsky.social), her community, and we finished the game RIGHT in the 4 hour window! There are health pickups in zord levels which is a HUGE help. But the Megazord levels are still ANNOYING AND FRUSTRATING. But overall still just a fun good game.

Hot Take: Don't like this. Moves accuracy is finnicky enough in my experience, without a move missing because the opponent literally moved.

Games make money, then studios lay off staff so they can cook the books and show even greater profits for shareholders. The people who MADE THE GAME AS GREAT AS IT IS...don't get to share in the rewards.

I know my upload schedule is a bit erratic, but I'm pleased to say I have episodes of Far Cry 6 going up Monday, Wednesday, and Friday this week! I should be able to get a couple of more episodes uploaded soon. Little frustrated that a song in-game was claimed on 2 vids, but they don't do anything.

Disappointed to see that Fall Guys no longer seems to allow reporting players for griefing (i.e. standing at the finish line and grabbing players, or waiting for the last spot and taking it as another player approaches). You can only report hacks and offensive names.
