In June 2025, 32,159 households in Northern Ireland were on the social housing waiting list- a 78% increase from 2024.

When we hear the word “homelessness,” too often a narrow image comes to mind. But the truth is far broader. Homelessness includes individuals and families living in temporary accommodation, sofa surfing, or staying in overcrowded, insecure, or unsafe housing.
