I'll never understand the line of defense the far right is using in France: "You are preventing millions of people from voting for Le Pen". Because she was found guilty by a tribunal. Surely we want people we vote for to not be fraudsters.

Trump is turning the US into a mafia state, like Poutine did some 20 years ago. Accusing others of doing what you are the one doing, rewarding loyalty above competence, attack the law, education, journalism. Lie until you are believed, by hook or by crook.

Realising how much rebuilding the US will have to do after these 4 years. The country is at war with itself because some politicians didn't have the courage to resist. It will be like rebuilding after a war.

"Making driving more appealing leads to more driving". Logical and uncontroversial. Yet people opposing traffic-calming measures like LTNs dance around that fact. Why? Because they know this to be true and often just try to find excuses for their habits or that of others.
