For the second time this year, Portland voters have turned out in overwhelming support of tenant rights and voted against a referendum designed to increase landlords’ profits and decrease tenant protections. We are so proud of this city of ours, but the fight doesn’t end here.

⏰ Election Day is fast-approaching! Don’t forget to vote NO on Question A tomorrow, Tuesday, November 7th. All Portland polls will be open from 7 am - 8 pm.

💥 We aren’t the only ones who think Question A will be bad for Portland & bad for renters. Check out all of the folks (and organizations) who have joined us so far in saying: VOTE NO ON A ‼️

Courts place people into conservatorship by deciding they're mentally unfit -- a term which has been used against marginalized people. While the provision in question is not currently enforced, it could serve as a trigger law like after Roe v Wade. Vote YES ON QUESTION 8 to protect voting rights.

YES ON QUESTION 6 to require that all official printings of Maine's constitution include the entire document, including Section 5 which states Maine’s commitment to honor “all duties and obligations … towards the Indians” accepted as part of Maine’s separation from Massachusetts in 1820.

YES on Question 4 requires car companies to provide more access to repair parts and technical data for owners and repair shops. It also requires dealers to tell buyers if the car they're buying is equipped to send data back to the manufacturer. VOTE YES ON QUESTION 4!

YES ON QUESTION THREE to put our power delivery into democratic control and take it away from greedy, investor owned, multinational corporations. We can achieve better service, better rates, and a mandate to help meet Maine’s climate goals by switching to Pine Tree Power! 🌲⚡❤️

A YES ON QUESTION 2 would prevent foreign entities and governments from contributing to campaigns that will influence ballot questions and candidates in Maine. It will also require disclosure on political ads if a foreign government or entity has donated any money to that advertisement.

Central Maine Power has bankrolled their own referendum. Question One, “No Blank Checks,” is an effort to delay public power -- giving them even more time to spend our power bill money on corporate propaganda. Tell them to pound sand by voting NO ON QUESTION ONE!
