Have spent the afternoon sniffing out of date spices , recycling & food wasting out of date things (I mean we’re talking 5’s of years out of date at least) & sorting the lardery thing so that I can see stuff. I bloody hate waste & am going to try & cook using only what we have for the meantime.

Lovely charity shop purchase this morning ☺️ And some beauts Sourdough Revolution bread , pasta & crisps & a tomato card from various shops in Lechlade.

Arranged for a pizza truck to go to one of my customers today to feed 50 sales people lunch. Taking the higher management out for a meal next week , so couldn’t leave the office teams with nothing ☺️

A day off to buy the last Trek items … & make sense of packing 3 different bags.

Catherine Phipps is an absolute genius. Made the split pea & ham soup. Absolutely 90% hands off meal. And SO tasty. Had some Cheese & Horseradish scone mix leftover from the Venison Cobbler so just popped a couple of larger ones in the freezer last week. They’ll get warmed up tonight to go with. 😁

A lovely evening in the kitchen. Making Frittata for dinner. Pressure Cooking carrot & harissa & ham & split pea soups. All from fridge & freezer & larder stuff. A good cosy Monday evening 🥰

The Beefy Boys rocked up to Swindon Town Football Club car park tonight. So I thoroughly enjoyed one of the best burgers I’ve ever eaten , & a plastic tumbler of wine sat in the Nigel Eady Bar at the club.

When I can’t get out on big walks in the week , I walk to these steps to train (for the steps in China) There are 106 steps. Tonight I did 40 flights , 20 up & 20 down. The cat there the whole time , judging me 😂

Fridge & freezer raid supper. Half a moody pineapple & some quick marinaded chopped thin pork loin steaks into an egg fried rice. Homemade blood orange & rhubarb kimchi stirred through. Gifted allotment cucumbers steeped in Poons Chilli vinegar on top. Satisfying x

Sandwich … All from Persiana Easy. Turkish Pide Bread. Butterflied Orange & Paprika Chicken. Yoghurt,Tomato,Spring Onion & Basil Salad (topped with pibil & crunchy garlic slices) Had some hummus & herbs given to me from a friends function leftovers , mixed together with lemon juice. Just superb.

Made Sabrina Ghayours Turkish Pide Bread at lunchtime. So so good. Going to fill it with paprika & orange chicken from the book too for my dinner tonight. Yoghurt salad on the side. Can’t wait ☺️ Tell you what , it’s perfect cooked in a @nethertonfoundry.bsky.social Prospector pan

A lunch hour use up of very moody bananas , a slightly healthier loaf/cake made with wholemeal & SR flour , yogurt, date syrup , walnuts etc. So good that I had to have some immediately. The wonderful @nethertonfoundry.bsky.social loaf tins need no greasing/lining & bake everything perfectly ☺️

A lovely meal at Greek Olive last night with friends & my Ma. Then dragged her up Walkers Hill today , & along to the Alton Barnes White Horse , then along the canal , where we were rewarded with juvenile Barn Sparrows ☺️

A day off work , partner has gone away with his friends , going for dinner with my friends tonight. Starting the weekend with music ☺️
