Watching a youtube video, decent concept with animated illustrations that really support its points, the exact thing I appreciate much more than face-talks-to-the-camera. Then I realized they drew sketches and animated them with AI. Oh no. This was not slop, it was good. Thanks, I hate it.

VR is an escape for a bit, an extension of video games. A fun way to spend some time at home. These AR / AI glasses are an extension of the smartphone. A way to occupy our time, constantly, to have our eyes and ears amused and advertised to while we ignore the friends & family at our cafe table.

I played a Switch 2 for an hour. It seems nice but even as a train commuter I can't imagine ever wanting a portable gaming device. I game at home. Nintendo games are cool but I shouldn't need an extra box with a 2nd CPU, GPU, and screen to play them.

There's a lot big youtubers than me out there struggling right now. Super Bunnyhop, Innuendo Studios ... I'm glad I never found real success or tried to make a real go of it. Don't quit your day job. Mine don't pay that much but it is rewarding and ... stable (at least compared to youtube.)

Atomfall looks rad, but ... I'm no longer interested in playing a first person game that's not in VR. It feels stupid, unnatural, to use a mouse to control where I'm looking. That's what my head is for.

Motortown is a buncha fun. Drive around a cute world doing odd-jobs, getting money to buy cars like this totally-not-an-mx5. The best part is - don't tell anyone this it might put them off - underneath the hood is a hardcore physics driving Sim. Its GTA online x Gran Turismo x Animal Crossing.

I held off on Beat Saber for years. Picked it up and was bored the first hour or two and thought about refunding it. I stuck with it a bit more and am now completely addicted. You have to get a little bit good at the game first to find the fun. And the better you get the more fun it is.

School had a "bring something 90s to school" thing. One kid brought an original gameboy cart. My friend's son said his dad had a gameboy, and so they arranged a visit. It didn't work, they were disappointed. My friend took out the cart, blew in it, plugged it back in, and blew their young minds.

Today I am very happy about the country in which I live. Nothing changed here, it's just that the USA is really throwing off the grading curve.
