I discovered source code for the Club Caribe virtual world server, a modified version of Lucasfilm's Habitat on the C64 which ran on Quantum Link (AOL) back in the late 1980's and early 1990's. I've uploaded it to GitHub and written about it here: renoproject.org/club-caribe-... #VirtualWorlds

A scene from the WorldsAway virtual world known as VZConnections. Taken sometime circa late 1999 or early 2000. Avatars gather in a park to play bingo with each other for prizes and ingame currency known as tokens. WA had a plugin API that allowed external developers to create games for the world.
