After a month of being anxiety free during this latest dating period, I spiraled. Had a panic attack in my car during lunch break. I have anxious attachment and one thing I've been working through with dating is that silence is okay. It's a me issue and one I've been working on it in therapy.

We're celebrating Valentine's Day tomorrow at work so I made my favorite chocolate cake! When in doubt, bake something! Not only does it keep your mind busy, but you get a sweet treat after!

Okay, I'm gonna do it and treat myself to a new dress. Nothing too crazy since I still have 20 more pounds to lose, but something I can wear that will make me feel cute and like a princess. If anyone finds anything, let me know! I'm always on the hunt for new dresses!

Well, this was not the update I was hoping to give, but I said I would be open and honest with y'all on this dating journey in the hopes it helps someone else feeling sad being single.

Today is my writing anniversary! Four years ago, Lupin was born after an indie game I was working on was cancelled. All my hard work would never see the light of day. Angry, I stumbled across scripthaven, decided to write only what I wanted to write and posted my first script!

Arcade date is over! Unlike shy guy, this guy has a lot of confidence and is quick with the banter. The issue is that some of his banter can be a bit rude? I'm not sure that's the right word. He wasn't mean to me, but sometimes the teasing was a bit much?

Me: *gets out the 10 springs under the fridge for Boots to play with* Boots: SPRINGS! *He flings all the springs under the fridge within five minutes and then meows repeatedly* Me: Okay, just one more time. *rinse and repeat* I've gotten them out ten times now.

Arcade date today with one suitor, museum date with shy guy tomorrow--honestly, as someone who has been longing and hoping to finally enter her dating era, I'm stunned that it's actually happening. And even if things don't work out with either guy, I'm learning lots!

May have butterflies about these two dates this weekend, but at least Boots is standing by with purrs to help comfort me. Or he wants more treats. I'm not sure.

All I need to fully embrace this era of being courted by gentlemen callers is a new princess gown. (Plus the sparkles will help chase away the butterflies--it's a scientific fact)

Date update--I made a move with shy guy! I gave him an out to refuse, of course (enthusiastic consent is important folks!) but it seemed just hearing that it was okay with me is what he needed. I'm just gonna take things one date at a time. But in other news, a new suitor has appeared too!

Jeez, it's been a long day and we're only halfway there. I'm nervous about the date tomorrow--mostly because if he doesn't want to make a move, I don't see the point in going on anymore dates. One of my love languages is physical touch and I want a partner who is okay with that.

Someone please help me acquire clothes to wear to this date. I'm 20 pounds away from my weight loss goal so I still haven't gone shopping and I've literally worn the only three tops that fit properly before. Maybe he won't notice???

When your brain is confused over dating issues, sometimes the best course of action is to bake an apple pie in your new apple pie pan. Pie turned out good but my Granny Smith apples are a bit too tart for me. I think if I made it again, I would need to add a bit more sugar.
