It's a local stopping service, Chapeltown, Elsecar, Wombwell and the rest, eleven stations from end to end. The carriage is empty when I board and only half-full when I leave. I unfold and refold the maps, the Explorers and the Landrangers, repack the rucksack, and drift in and out of sleep. 3/

Went to see Theatre Picasso at Tate Modern. Dark, theatrical hang full of wild, colourful art, from which you emerge through a proscenium arch to these studies in monochrome. L: The Acrobat (1930), C: The Painter and His Model (1926) R: The Minotaure (tapestry based on Picasso’s design from 1928)
