Something tells me that drawing fucked up teeth, crazy-eyes, skulls, AND chickens is a hopeless attempt at appealing to an unusually niche segment of the population. 🤷‍♀️

You know what I like drawing even more than eyes and fucked up teeth? Eyes and fucked up teeth in a skull! Like any self-respecting ex-punker kid, I spent a lot of time in the 80s drawing skulls. I neither want your skull or need your skull.

A friend asked today “So what, you’re drawing more people?” To which I responded that I recently realized that I just enjoy drawing eyes and fucked up teeth regardless of the species.

I need some sort of avoidance shock collar which zaps me every time I read the comments on political posts. Doomsayers, armchair experts, and panic mongering dip shits abound.

My very battered 1987 edition, which I've carted from PDX, to Florida, to SF, to ATX, and now back to Florida. One night in NO tipsy on hurricanes I insisted on eating a Paradise hot dog.

Wrapping up 2025 by saving these chilly critters from the pool filter. Less impending fascism and more frogs in 2026.

Revisited this little lady for a couple upcoming holiday markets I’m participating in. Because nothing says Yule time spirit like demented anglerfish.

Nandays are the typical Florida, non native species story where individuals escaped or were freed by irresponsible owners. Quickly they decided they liked the climate and have had explosive growth ever since. They’re loud birds, always travel in groups, and neve fail to bring a smile to my face.

I’ve been pals with Marc since the 90s. He’s good people, so check this out.

Thought I’d taken a couple solid photos of the large mass of old people, young people, inflatables, lgbtq kids, and a T-Rex I just saw here in St. Pete. It was wonderful and made me really happy to live in this town. Apparently you’ll just have to take my word for it.

Personally, it’d been something of a week l, so I decided to exercise (not exorcise) one of my demons.

My little demons are acting up.

As I teach myself more particularly about light and depth, I like to revisit things where I stand by my initial concept and apply my new learnings. Plus I have two art markets coming up in the next few months. and I’d prefer to hold my head high with my creepy critters and killer clowns.

Just a normal week night occurrence around these parts.

Best metaphysical question I’ve seen pondered in the ladies room, in quite some time.

Today I learned that there are three flavors of Cassowary: the southern cassowary, the northern cassowary, and tbe dwarf cassowary. I also learned that the northern cassowaries and I are most similar in size, with the female southerns out-sizing me. All four of us pack a nasty kick.

Today I learned that you can ascertain the mood of a male Wild Turkey by the color of their head. A happy gobbler will exhibit a blue head. An angry or stressed tom’s head will turn red. Per Wikipedia: “Turkeys will occasionally forage with deer and squirrels, and may even play with them.”

Tuesday night plans.

We all have our own internal monsters born out of the worst parts of our individual experiences. Some of these monsters represent our most damaged selves and some of these monsters are there to protect us even if they do so in a misguided way. Apparently I’m not done exploring my monsters.
