Today 8/8, is an important day in Burmese history. It’s the day the 8888 uprising began its mass phase. The state then, just as it does now, reacted with horrific violence. These events inspired Naing Myanmar to write Kabar Makay Bu, which you can hear in our podcast as it was used in 2021.
