This weekend was the final weekend residential of this academic year. Which included the commendation of the ordinands due to be ordained very soon. The handover of lead student was handed over to Boyd and I. Na humbling weekend to celebrate all that God has done this year

Guisborough Deanery had a Deanery morning hearing Good news stories from a range of people. I had the privelage of leading a table talking about "responding to God's call" a fruitful morning

2 years ago I sat here. Surrounded with the tide in. I left so much pain there and I prayed about what was to come. Today I sat with my husband giving thanks to God for all He has done. Faculty granted, stage 2 approved and I'm now in my first year of Ordinand training. God is good all the time

This weekend was a retreat weekend at Mirfield with Ordinands. We looked at the Celtic saints. We were encouraged to embrace silence throughout the weekend. Jeremiah 6.16 was our verse for the weekend.

This walk is close to where I live and where I wrestle with God. I've had many walks with people God has put in my life. The water was still this morning. Other times it's choppy. Kind of like life really. Sometimes we feel calm other times we can feel mixed up. But God is with us all of our life

What a beautiful morning I have had at Kirkleatham. A couple who live in the Alms houses also know as Sir William Turner hospital have been inviting me to their monthly service and this morning I made it. With tea and coffee in the common room afterwards it was delightful

In cafe church this morning we looked at Jesus saying "I am the way the truth and the life". I invited people to think about where they needed direction from God. If they felt lost or worried.

Looking forward to celebrating 5 years of the new St Hilda's Church building. It's great to see how the space is used by so many different groups and in all of it the building is church. God is good

Easter school. So much to say. I wrote a poem about the Resurrection, I led sung evensong, I led the macarena. I made new friends. And someone said I shine when I am my true self. Thank you God for this week

Have had the best night. Leading compline after stripping the church this evening was something very special. A bare church. I can't actually explain the feeling but it was extraordinary

A joy to begin Holy Week with Communion in St Hilda's. The sun was shining through giving this beautiful reflection into the cross. As we reflected on Jesus commandment to love God and our neighbour

Final day of the second term today. Finished with a service of Communion. Which was led by tyw Baptist minister. There is a really joy of worshipping and learning amongst a multitude of people. Holy week next week and then Easter school for a week so still lots to do

Home after a weekend residential at Mirfield. It's it's been one of the best weekends I've had there. Lots of good discussions. We had some taize worship and we sung the Peruvian Gloria. Some good teaching on Blended spirituality. Lots to ponder about but yeah a great weekend

Essays for the term complete. Lots of lessons learnt for next term. Now to put my laptop away and enjoy some time off before the new term begins. Looking forward to going down south to see some family. (few football matches as well) but the important part is seeing family

An incredibly blessed first Christmas on placement at Kirkleatham Parish. From 9 lessons and carols to a quiet Christmas to crib service and midnight mass. The team of people at Kirkleatham are a joy to be with and I look forward to seeing what 2026 brings at Kirkleatham Parish

Never thought I'd use the phrase "it goes in one ear and out the other" when preaching... Until today. When Jesus says let anyone with ears listen... Well we can listen but let's not let it go in one ear and out the other. It got a chuckle in church so they were definitely listening 👂

Today I joined clergy, ordinands and ALM'S for an Advent quiet day. So much needed. A time of prayer stations, space, some talks but predominantly just to be with God. a lovely short walk with a vicar who is just so encouraging. Thank you

Led Advent course last night. Hope. May we always have hope. Hope in God not just now but hope in him for the future. Really encouraged by the discussion as we thought about being the hope for the community we serve
