I can’t create if I’m not taking care of myself. When deadlines pile up, I forget to eat, sleep, or even tidy my workspace. It always leads to creative blocks. Now I make it a point to light a candle, play some music, and take breaks. It’s amazing how much difference a little self-care makes

🧵 So, a few years ago, I got approached by a writer to color their comic. The pitch? A ‘respectful’ and ‘heartfelt’ romance story. Sounded sweet, right? I was on board. Let’s set the mood: lots of soft tones, warm lighting, and tender moments.

🎨✨ Every time I get to color a page, I get lost in the details. Creating an atmosphere like this is pure magic! Here’s a side-by-side of the inks and the final piece

Sometimes I wonder if I color comic pages just to fund my Alan Wake obsession. Life goals? Balanced.

Fun fact: I spent 15 minutes deciding the perfect shade of blue for a character’s shirt. But ask me to pick an outfit, and I’ll wear the same hoodie for days.

Working at my desk while freezing my butt off is so unfair, hahaha. I need more vacation days to stay in bed playing Life is Strange for the 10th time… and getting paid for it, hahaha!

Okay, this one’s super special to me. 🧡 As a Mexican colorist, getting to infuse a little bit of my culture into the art I color feels amazing.
