Dear furry smut artist/animators: Sound does not always make your animation better. In fact, it's done so poorly in a gross majority of videos I've seen, that I just mute. It tends to detract rather than add anything to it.

If an artist complains about their prices 'being high' because they 'take long on a piece of art': That is NOT your problem as consumer. If I got paid per hour, this incentivizes me to work slower. If the artist has an obnoxious TOS, treat them like a BUSINESS and vote with your wallet.

Yes: If an artist is willing to do a 50/50, that's the acceptable standard [to me]. It means they're willing to bear some of the risk along with you in order to facilitate a working relationship. I've worked with artists who even take payment at various stages: Sketch, Lines, Color, etc.

I'm pro-consumer in every single thing I do. If an artist demands payment up-front, and at the same time warns that they 'may take up to a year', RUN. PayPal can sorta protect you if an artist ghosts or refuses to deliver up to about 180 days. After that, you're S.O.L.
