Yesterday, LIC filed an answer to a group of ag-industry and bull-riding entities who weighed in on our Alexandre case. LIC explained that the superior court’s ruling leaves “lawful operators” unaffected, while creating an opportunity to address “Alexandre’s unlawful practices.”

Yesterday, the Humboldt County Superior Court heard oral argument in the animal-cruelty case, LIC v. Alexandre. LIC’s Isabella Nilsson explained that the complaint alleges ongoing strange and unusual animal abuse by Alexandre. We now await the Court’s ruling.

Today, LIC responded in OPPOSITION to the defendants' demurrer in LIC v. Alexandre: “[D]efendants . . . have a pattern and practice of starving and dehydrating cattle, dragging disabled animals across concrete, and pouring salt into cows’ eyes.” www.legalimpactforchickens.org/alexandre
