In November, OCCRA got a call about an injured bald eagle at Pier Park late at night. Our team captured and transported her to Dove Lewis, who then transferred to Bird Alliance. Today she’s back where she belongs. Fly free, Madge! #wildliferescue #wildliferehab

We have a very large, fiesty bald eagle in care. So far we’ve had to force feed her. She’s finally decided to eat on her own, but only large fish. If anyone in Portland has connections to someone who fishes and is willing to donate salmon, trout or something of similar size, pls let me know.

Yaahhh this virus sucks. Online urgent care doesn’t even give good cough suppressants. And one of the cats has just realized I’m a captive audience stuck in bed.

Definitely seeing bird flu. Rehabbers in Oregon are NOT ALLOWED to take duck or geese per ODFW due to how contagious it is. Dove Lewis may take for euthanasia, but pls call them to confirm before handling any birds. And do NOT take inside the hospital. Staff likely to meet you outside.
