NP - Normil Hawaiians - More Wealth than Money 🙌🖤 Postpunk masterpiece that transcends the genre.

NP - one I never thought I’d own in its original form. Simply one of the greatest pieces of black metal art ever made. Immortal - Pure Holocaust 🖤🙌

Next up - a bit of a splurge on a massive Blue Note favourite. Ike Quebec - It Might as Well be Spring, Mono 1st. The word laconic was invented for Ike’s tenor sax playing on this. It’s a perfect Sunday record. Freddie Roach’s bubbling organ was tailor made for this kind of record, too. 🖤🙌

When @dj-acid-reflux.bsky.social gives you a US psych recommendation, you’d better listen up. Pick-up from a lovely day in Bristol 🖤🙌 Hollins & Starr - Sidewalks Talking Out of Chicago this has everything you’d want from an obscure 1970 psych record, from fuzz to flute & superfluous drum solo

No, Jeff Buckley is not the best singer ever. In fact he’s not even the second best Buckley.

Next up - Davy Graham “Midnight Man” Fantastic album, sounding glorious in original Mono. 🖤🙌

NP - Fraction - Moon Blood Do you like the sound of a trippy Christian (in a weird & wonderful way) spaced out private press psych rock from 1971 (aka the best year for music) fronted by someone who sounds like he could be Danzig’s biggest influence? Originals go for over £4k [this is a boot]

NP - Duke Ellington “The Afro-Eurasian Eclipse 🖤🙌 An absolute masterpiece. An overused word, but in this case it scarcely does the record justice.

Single vinyl purchase (& cute tote bag) from amazing little record store in Singapore (Vinyl Kakis). The owner Jason is great - his shop stuffed with extreme metal, noise, jazz, city pop & soul & Keiji Haino has been in the little store (see second pic)!

#5DebutAlbums9094 This is made for metal. First up 1991 and Norway. Darkthrone - Soulside Journey. Essentially a death metal record and one of the best from what would go on to be one of the greatest black metal bands. 🙌🖤
