It occurred to me that in Pokemon Red/Green, the designers purposefully designed the "best" moves of the Fire/Grass/Water trio to be a different mode of damage, to make each type feel a bit different. Hydro Pump is one turn but can miss, Solarbeam takes two turns, and Fire Spin is a multi-hit move.

Working on the next Cryptodex article, and I've run into an interesting mystery. In a file from March 25, Azurill's flavor text mentions Luvdisc. However, Luvdisc doesn't exist yet at that point in development! There's no Pokedex info, and the Planning List just has ?????? for it's name. Any ideas?

Just finished @ryannorth.ca ’s “Warp Your Own Way” and I can’t recommend it highly enough. It’s a brilliant execution of the “choose your own adventure” genre, to the point that I think he’s pushed the genre to its logical conclusion. One of the few “perfect” pieces of art I’ve experienced.
