Stayed downtown late to get drinks with some coworkers and had to run for the train and it's so weird stepping back into what my life was like before Covid and kids. Absolutely nothing like having an aperol spritz and french fries for dinner on a sunny summer day after work though.

I got on a bus this morning and there was a fussy toddler in the front that immediately quieted when a gentleman with a sparkly stuffed snake around his neck started singing to him. Several other people joined in, and so my bus ride was filled with acapella r&b. I love Chicago.
