This week's @aftermath.site newsletter features a writeup of a Steam demo I played, Tomb of the Bloodletter, which is sort of like Cryptmaster but with a lot more focus on spelling and the keyboard. It's really neat!

Tomb of the Bloodletter was such a great time today! Takes the typical typing game format but switches it up a little where your limitations are also your strengths. This one really puts you on the spot and makes you think before you type since your output is so limited. Big brain Scrabble stuff! 😵‍💫

Just read a negative review of the phenomenal roguelike Dog Witch, and I think a lot of people view these games oddly. Randomness and unfair difficulty are the point! Their strengths, imo, lie in how fun it is to engage with their systems. Winning or losing is largely a byproduct of that interaction
