I've been home from my UK tour a week now but tonight I made Irish stew and binge watched "Line of Duty" on Britbox. Missing it over there away from Trumplandia.

I finished my poetry thesis in June. Then stopped writing. Last week I challenged myself to write one possibly shitty poem a day. I've got 7 so far. I don't think they're shitty. A break was what I needed. I'm back!

I had my baby at 50 and started a blog about it when I was pregnant. He's 6 and I write about being an older mom and an artist. I didn't know if anyone read it. This week a documentary director contacted me to do an episode on me and my life for a series he is directing for HBO/Max.

I'm challenging myself to write a poem a day to get my writer self back into shape. Tomorrow I'll write about stocking up on toothpaste. I'm thinking "fluoride in the water/crazy motherfucker".
